
Finally getting around to recessing the HVAC ductwork into the floor joists in my wife’s basement workout dungeon! All the ducts are just 6″ flexible tubing so first step was to pop them loose and see how we can route them through the opening next to the door. I completely underestimated how much the cigarette smoke smell penetrated inside them and decided to replace a large section. I switched to oval duct tubing to go across the beams to help get as much headroom as possible. I also installed a “tee” fitting to eventually add a small HVAC vent in the room later for some winter warmth. The project came out great and turned out awesome!
